Our story
Kendra’s brand, KMD, was created out of a desire to empower artisans worldwide and help them break free from the cycle of poverty. Inspired by her travels, Kendra saw firsthand how lack of education and start-up funding can limit artisans and lead to exploitation. With KMD, she established a global commerce platform that offers education programs and micro-loans to artisans, giving them the tools and resources they need to reach a wider market and increase their earning potential. By providing a sustainable and ethical way for artisans to share their unique creations with the world, Kendra goal is to help create positive change for communities around the globe.
Our Values
Our values are rooted in sustainability, social responsibility, and artisanal craftsmanship.
We pride ourselves in being handmade and ethically sourced by using up-cycled and hand-woven textiles whenever possible, supporting indigenous artisan’s textile co-ops, and featuring locally-sourced leather.
We work to connect these artisans with the global market, therefore helping to increase the value of traditional artisanal practices that are disappearing.
